Confirmation Interviews will be held prior to Confirmation. Each student will be scheduled for a short interview. Here is a list of questions for you to review. Let's see HOW MUCH YOU KNOW about the Catholic Faith. Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is God and the third Person of the Blessed Trinity. What is another name for the Holy Spirit? Paraclete...It means Comforter, one who intercedes on our behalf. From whom does the Holy Spirit proceed? The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son. Is the Holy spirit equal to the Father and the Son? He is equal because He is God. What does the Holy Spirit do for mankind? He sanctifies souls through the gift of grace. ************************************************************ How many kinds of grace are there? There are two kinds of grace: sanctifying and actual grace. What does sanctifying grace fo for us? It makes us holy and pleasing to God and makes us adopted children of God, and it makes us temples of the Holy Spirit and gives us the right to Heaven. What is actual grace? Actual grace is a supernatural help of God which enlightens our minds, and strengthens our will to do good and to avoid evil. How many mysteries of the Rosary are there and name them...There are 4 mysteries of the rosary: Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous. Why did you choose your Confirmation name?.... answers vary: Patron Saint Names or Family Names, etc. What is the Trinity? By the Trinity we mean one in the same God in three Divine Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. What are the three most important Church Holy Days? Christmas, Easter, Pentecost What are the three Sacraments of "Initiation" in order? Baptism, The Eucharist, Confirmation What does Confirmation do? Confirmation is the Sacrament in which the Holy Spirit comes to us in a special way to join us more closely to Jesus and His Church and to seal and strengthen us as Christ's witnesses. It is the completion of Baptismal Grace. It makes us full pledged members fo the Church. What are the symbols of the Holy Spirit? Wind, Fire, Dove, Oil What are some roles in the Church that you can fulfill once you are confirmed? Once confirmed you may become a Minister of the Word (Lector), Minister of the Eucharist, Usher, Sponsor for other Confirmation Candidates, Godparent, Peer Minister, ... any Church Ministry will be open to you. Why do you want to be Confirmed? It is a Sacrament of Faith and open to individual responses. What are the Seven Sacraments in Order? Baptism, Penance, Eucharist, Confirmation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, Matrimony; The Sacraments Who is our Bishop and Pope? Bishop Most Reverend Arthur J.
