Meet Father Bogie

  

Effective July 11, 2007, Fr. Boguslaw Kobus, parochial vicar of St. Paul Parish in Prospect Park was assigned as Pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish.

A native of Poland, Fr. Bogie entered the Salesian Society of Don Bosco in 1982 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1992 in Poland. After his ordination, he served as a missionary in Zambia. He later served in the Salesian Formation House and as provincial secretary for Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Fr. Bogie then served as provincial vocation director and formator, teaching and preparing young African candidates for the priesthood. From 1997 to 1999, he was superior of the provincial and formation houses in Lusaka and other missions in Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Fr. Bogie arrived in the United States in 2000 and for four months served in the Metuchen Diocese at Ss. Peter and Paul Parish in Great Meadows. He was named parochial vicar at St. Andrew Parish in Clifton in 2000 where he served until 2005 when he was named parochial vicar at St. Paul's in Prospect Park.
